DESCRIPTION

This sweatshirt is made of 17.5 oz terry cloth with a "Flying Tigers" pattern printed on the chest. It's soft, has no static electricity, can be worn close to the skin, and has good elasticity. American Volunteer Group (AVG) was established on Aug. 1, 1941. The founder was American flight instructor Claire Lee Chennault. At this time, the United States and Japan hadn’t yet officially started the war. AVG is a mercenary air force composed of American pilots hired by the Chinese National Government with high salaries. They fight in China, Myanmar, and other places against Japan.

On December 7, 1942, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Soon afterward, the United States officially declared war on Japan. The Pacific War broke out. On July 3, 1942, the Flying Tigers were reorganized and merged into the 23rd United States' 10th Air Force Group.

In 1943, it was reorganized and merged into the 14th Air Force, using the "Hump" to transport supplies and personnel. On July 3, 1943, the Flying Tigers were ordered to disband, and most of them chose to return to the United States. The legend of the Flying Tigers is that it’s a non-governmental voluntary organization. It has a high commission as a prerequisite, but it also is a bet on the pilot’s own life. Even if it’s labeled a humanitarian, it cannot cover up the heroic temperament of these civilian heroes.
