khaki color uniforms were first introduced in 1848 in the British Indian Army Corps of Guides. As well as the Corps of Guides, other regiments in India soon adopted the uniform and eventually it was used throughout the British military.
In the early part of the North African Campaign and the Mediterranean theatre, British troops wore KD shorts or slacks with long-sleeved Aertex-fabric shirts.

I bought the 1955 Gurka shorts and KD drill shorts from this company. I have always been weary about buying from China but I could not be more pleasantly surprised. Both these items were better than any reproduction I’d seen. Really good quality, hardwearing and thick. Good stitching And good size. Can’t wait to wear these around the Balkans.
Excellent shorts with a distinct vintage style. These have become more comfortable as I wear and wash them. Runs true to size.
My shorts arrived in good time. They look and feel great. The sizing is as described. I would highly recommend!
