This type of vest was originally designed for outdoor use, utilizing a fabric known as "Beach Cloth." The fabric surface features a crisscross pattern and texture, commonly referred to as the special "ごま塩" pattern, with a unique combination of warm inner wool fleece and a water-resistant knitted cotton face.
Our design takes inspiration from the small-collar style of the 1920s to 1930s, incorporating the classic 6-button front closure, slightly centered chest pockets, and an adjustable buckled back to authentically recreate the ambiance of that era. This vest is crafted from a blend of "BEACH CLOTH" fabric with a double-layer structure. The fabric surface is woven with two-color threads of different counts, creating a distinctive "salt and pepper" texture. The wool at the base of the vest is produced using a brushing technique, resulting in an overall wool content of approximately 70% and a thickness that closely resembles the original design.
