The M-1943 field jacket was the successor of the M-1941 used during WWII. In WWII, the US military designed the M-1943 to solve the practical problems of the originally M-1941 field jacket nondurable and not carrying too many things. The M-1943 was a revolutionary jacket in U.S. Military history, which set the bar for future U.S. Army field jackets to come.
This M-1943 is made of cotton sateen, was originally issued with a removable hood and pile liner, making the field jacket extremely versatile in warm and colder conditions.
