The rider's sweaters of the 1910s were usually monochrome wool jerseys with a V-neck, high collar, and buttoned collar. The 1920s saw the advent of two-tone patchwork wool jerseys. The zipper became widely used in the civilian market in the 1930s, and a new turtle neck sweater debuted in 1939 in the catalog, making it the classic sweater for the manufacturer's riders.
This sweatshirt has a two-tone patchwork design, this style was the dominant style of the old-time, and the sweaters of old-time Harley Davidson riders are representative of this style. The sweatshirt's front was sewed letter patches "RUGGED BRONSON", and the back was sewed letter patches "BRONSON MC"(Bronson Motorcycle Club).
