Covert Fabric

This black-and-white ‘covert’ fabric has been in use since the 19th century. The term originates from the French word couvert (covered) and later evolved into the hunting term ‘covert,’ referring to a bush that provides cover. As the name suggests, covert cloth is known for its strength and protective qualities.

Its natural resistance to showing dirt made it a favorite among workwear manufacturers. Over time, it became more commonly referred to as the ‘salt & pepper’ fabric due to its distinctive appearance.

Very good trousers, very happy with the quality of construction and the fabric. It has a nice weight without being too heavy, quite comfortable and there is a beautiful drape. The pocket size is large and they are easy to access being placed on the seam. The straight leg is very classic and wide enough for a clean look. my only issue (and reason for not 5 stars) is that they are a little short, I wish they were another inch longer. I am 185cm and they sit a little higher on the leg than I would like. Overall the pants are great and I am happy with my purchase. Thanks!
