  • Model is 5' 10"/ 178cm and 136lbs/ 62kg. He wears a size W30.

These five-pocket jeans are styled after post-World War II designs. It is envisioned as a special edition exclusively supplied to the Navy Exchange Store, designed based on reasonable assumptions rooted in historical context.

Victory in Europe, also known as “V-E Day,” marked the beginning of the end of copper restrictions in the United States. The L-181 regulations on workwear gradually loosened, and by 1946, these restrictions were officially lifted. This brought about a new era of growth and transformation for denim clothing in the post-war period.

As soldiers returned to civilian life after World War II, there was a huge demand for everyday clothing. Jeans and jackets were so highly sought after that they became difficult to find, with prices soaring to several times their pre-war levels. In this context, we imagine a 1946 version, supplied by the Bureau of Supply and Accounts specifically for the Navy Exchange Store, designed to provide benefits to military families and veterans.

Made from 13.5 oz. selvedge denim, these jeans feature a wide straight fit with a mid-high rise. With the lifting of restrictions, this version restores the iron signature logo buttons and reintroduces brass rivets. The hidden rivets are made of iron, plated with a copper finish, and also feature the signature logo. To capture the authenticity of the period, we’ve included a logo-printed paper patch on the back right waist. The pocket linings are crafted from chambray fabric, and the raw, unfinished edges of the inner fly reflect wartime-era details. All these elements combine to capture the essence and unique charm of that era.
