1930s Attached Hood Parka

This style hoodie looks like a jumper "added" a hat, which appeared in the late 1930s. Before this, there was no such form of clothing, and when people needed to keep their heads warm, it was natural to sew hats on top of their turtle necks. They were called "ATTACHED HOOD PARKA," but by the late 1950s, these "Attached Hood Parka" had largely disappeared with the advent of new standard hoodies.

Great looking (and made) retro hoodie. Nice and thick material and properly sized. I take a 42" jacket and the hoodie is a size 40" = I followed the Bronson size chart. I would have preferred the hood lining to be more muted and in a darker colour as it tends to contrast too much. Then again, for authenticity, it follows the original concept of being a 'stitched on' hood on a crew neck sweatshirt.
