Inspired by the 1942 wartime Type 1 denim jacket, this piece reflects the simplified, utility-driven design of World War II workwear. Under U.S. wartime production regulations, denim jackets were classified as staple work clothing, and nonessential details were reduced to conserve materials. Pocket flaps were removed, while branded hardware was replaced with standard-issue laurel buttons, creating the distinctive stripped-back character of the wartime model.
Made from 14 oz raw selvedge denim woven with ring-spun cotton yarn, the fabric has a visible slub texture and will develop varied fading with wear.
